What a wonderful holiday at this amazing Villa. Firstly, a big thank you to the owners who were amazing and answered all our queries and were very fair minded when checking out. This really is a luxury apartment and everything was as stated. The pool is excellent as well as the hot tub. The are lots of eating areas and plenty of room to sunbath on the decking. I can recommend taking advantage of the visiting chef - he was excellent. The property has aircon which works extremely well. The kitchen is amazing with every mod con you could want and well appointed with kitchen equipment. The welcome book was very useful and covered everything. There are plenty of fridges and freezers and one outside which was very useful. We were 7 adults and three young children and we fitted in very well and never felt cramped. Some of the walks nearby are very good. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough and we will definitely be returning
Wow, wow, wow – when I first saw the pictures it looked gorgeous, but when we arrived the villa was even more stunning. We have had the most amazing week. Debbie and Brent are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. The grounds were so picturesque. This was our first holiday with our 1 year old baby and we couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Thank you La Bastide!
A fantastic home on the border of the Dordogne and Bordeaux. The house and garden were amazing. It's a "home" rather than a rental and we loved this. It has everything you need and it has a lovely warm feeling to it. We had a lovely 4-week stay here. The house managers were fantastic and we were very sad to say goodbye and gave us loads of great tips on places to go. Lac Jemaye, the food festival in Le Pizou, local markets, canoeing near Montpon, local farm shop that sold milk straight from the dairy etc. The standout for us was wine tasting around Pomerol and Saint-Émilion - we ended up doing three wine tasting days! St Emillion really is one of the most beautiful villages you could ever hope to visit. It's ground zero for wine and it's steeped in history. We miss the château terribly. Hopefully one day we will return.

My husband and I rented this charming house for 2 weeks in August with our 2 young daughters and we are already planning a return trip next year! Firstly, the pool is stunning. It's huge and spotless and we could barely get the girls out of it! The house is big and spacious and the newly decorated bathrooms made me feel like I was staying at Soho House! The house is situated in a lovely little town on the Canal du Midi. There is a huge wine shop next door and several bars and restaurants within walking distance on the quay. We had day trips to the beach at Gruissan and Leucate which were stunning Mediterranean resorts and barely 40 minutes away.
The most enjoyable part of France. The most enjoyable stay in “luxe” villa. Highlights: fresh veg from Duras market on Monday. eating out at Eymet, almost any restaurant will do, but particular favourites are Cour d’Eymet and Château les Vigiers. watching the red kites hunting over the fields in the evening . The lizards and the geko on the patio. All in all a memorable experience.
This is a fabulous villa with wonderful, spacious and different spaces and areas to relax, perfect for big or family groups - the pool is wonderful. Everything has been thought of and the availability of bikes for all ages is excellent, especially when you’re so close to the canal du midi. The owners are very attentive and friendly and everything from the generous arrival treats to the morning pastries and bread is A1 and the top tips on wine and day trips is provided readily and all great suggestions. A lovely place and definitely somewhere you’ll want to return to.
We are just back from two magical weeks in this property set in a beautiful area with many Bastides to visit. The house is spacious with every required amenity hosted by the lovely owners Jean and Martin not forgetting the real star Tanner the dog. The grounds are enormous with a gorgeous pool, gazebo, huge parasols and sun-beds. The local village Lauzun is a short walk away for bread and there is a local Bar de Sport. Each Saturday night in the season the main street is closed off and tables set up for a gourmande evening... Very French! The owners will ensure that you have a good time but are in no way obtrusive. Don't miss the opportunity to try this property!
Les Fumerates is fantastic. Near to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, it is particularly well located (30 minutes to Nice or Grasse by car, 20 minutes walk to Saint-Paul, etc.) and offers such an amazing landscape! Just imagine being in the pool with a view over the sea... For those who are willing to come when the weather is a little cold please note that when we were there the pool was 27 degrees (in April) Highly recommending the place, definitely.
The acccommodation is beautifully presented with lots of lovely little touches. There's everything you need but if not the hosts are just next door and couldn't be more helpful. Vouvant is a very short walk away and has a handful of bars, restaurants and shops so you can just leave the car and relax if you really need to with off. We'd highly recommend a stay a The Piglet Barn and will most certainly be back.
We have had a great week here visiting our daughter Eliza who is studying French in Montpellier. Lisa et al very helpful and the home has provided us with much fun and relaxation. Also great for walking into town and going on excursions. Thank you!
Narbonne is a classic, small French city. The villa is a perfect match and then some - more spacious than the pictures suggest and terrific spaces both outdoor and in. Well be back for more visits and more wine!
Loved seeing you both and was so much fun to enjoy Jenn's cooking, sunshines, minerals, highlights was the little mountain restaurant of giving French to French people. Thank you for having us!
We have had a wonderful stay at La Remise. Esther and Lee have been helpful hosts and gave some great tips on places to eat and visit for our stay. The villa and especially the pool have been fantastic.
The countryside and views are stunning. Total relaxations and happy memories to take back to Dublin.
We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.
Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. So much love and thought has gone in to creating the Loft! It shows in every detail, but most importantly, in the ambiance it radiates throughout. You made us feel so very welcome, both before and after our arrival. Your kindness and generosity have meant a great deal to us, and the ‘wine time’ we had with you has been great fun too! We so admire what you have achieved with the Loft and wish you every success with the renovations of the maison de maitre - can’t wait to see the finished article. Magical, inviting, soothing, AMAZING! The villa was truly magical, while also invoking a sense of home. The community areas are large enough that you never feel crowded and there are several places to "hide" within the property for true soul searching/peace with a magnificent view at every turn. Very well maintained and quaint restaurants/shops just a short walk away, but not too close(you still feel tucked away). HIGHLY recommend!!
Spacious, comfortable and stylish. The house has a super atmosphere. It’s really spacious, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms have all you need. The pool was spotless and such a treat that it’s just yours to use. The house sits very near to the village. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Square and the little market that seems to visit every Saturday and on two other days too. You can get all you need from there or from the little super market nearby. The terrace was fab for eating our meals outside and just off the kitchen. Bbq worked well too. Over all it was definitely a 10 out of 10 stay. The owners have thought of everything. We really loved the enormous wall hangings.
A perfect stay for a family Christmas. Plenty of room for 10 people. Beautiful bedrooms and bathroom. A very family-friendly living room, a superb and functional kitchen. We had a wonderful couple of weeks. The accommodation was well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Debbie was a fantastic host and really made us feel welcome. She was there to help without being intrusive. It was great to have her on hand for advice on days out, restaurants, etc. The gardens and pool were fantastic and well maintained. The area is beautiful with lots to explore but didn’t feel like a well trodden tourist path. We enjoyed visiting local markets, walking, activities on the river and exploring the local villages and wineries. We would highly recommend and hope to revisit soon.

We, grandparents, parents and our little daughter, spent two fantastic weeks in this wonderful villa in Fréjus. The villa offers plenty of room for a bigger family. You can find everything you need for a pleasant stay. It's fully furnished. lovely decorated and well appointed with kitchenware and with everything you might need. There is a lushy, well maintained garden with a swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds. We loved our stay there with the beautiful view over Fréjus to the sea. We can recommend this villa to everyone looking for a peaceful, quite summer vacation. The owners are as well extremely friendly and helpful.
We had a fabulous holiday at La Distillerie - the most beautiful gite we have stayed in, and a perfect setting in which to enjoy the French countryside. The property is beautifully decorated throughout, immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you may need. Mark and Gary are amazing hosts and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to their friendly welcome and warm hospitality throughout our stay. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing break, and La Distillerie suited us perfectly. The pool, patio and garden areas are wonderful, with fantastic views across the open countryside. There are also lovely villages to visit within an easy driving distance. A big thank you to Mark and Gary for making our first visit so special, and we look forward to returning!
