Swimming in the sun at La Barde we experienced a luxurious time in the perfect place to be reminded of the most important parts of life - family, nature and love. It's so obvious that every corner of this house was built and is maintained with love. A perfect getaway in the hills of Lusignac.
We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks here, very quiet and peaceful with plenty to do. A very warm welcome from the hosts.
AMAZING! Our stay at the Loft has been our best since we started visiting this area five years ago. Relaxed, very comfortable, well equipped and spacious - it is the perfect place to return to after a day out or even from just around the corner by the pool! Karen and Russell have been a revelation in the way that they host their property. Right from our wine on arrival to booking a restaurant for us - nothing was a problem or too much trouble for them and the informative e-mails before we arrived were very handy and well-timed. They are a gem! As is their Loft and as their next venture will be. We just need another week here!
You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
A fairytale castle set in the stunning hillsides of Saint Mézard - just amazing! Easy to get to from Toulouse, Château Mézard was a perfect home base for exploring the surrounding quaint villages offering the finest in local Gascony food and wine. Sipping Armagnac at sunset and dining by candlelight on one of the many terraces made us feel like royalty!
We have had a wonderful, relaxing and very enjoyable week at the farmhouse. It is a stunning place that we have enjoyed immensely. We have found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the glorious pool and tennis court and have had a fabulous rest! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay, knowing that the team are on hand if needed... Bliss, an absolute gem.
Perfect. Our second visit and we hope it won’t be the last. Would give it six stars if we could. A beau cottage, tastefully decorated and well equipped. A beautiful pool and a peaceful setting near a village where you can eat well if you’re tired of cooking. Plenty to explore in the area. Best of all, a warm welcome from the owners.
We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage kids. From the first day, we settled in and found it very difficult to leave after two weeks. The owners have not only created a wonderfully rustic house, but it has been very well thought out, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family of 5. This is complemented by one of the best settings you could imagine - gently rolling hills set back from a quiet country road. Being a sporty family, we used the beautiful pool every day. Most private pools in France are under 10 metres, so we really appreciated the full 13 metres to swim some laps. Much to our delight, there was an outdoor badminton court and boules area. The big, flat lawn at the top of the property was the perfect place to kick some balls around. The surrounding area is a delight to discover. From limestone caves, to underground churches carved out of the hillside, to charming market towns, to river 'beaches' for cooling off, the area never seems crowded. All this, coupled with the exquisite food and drink from the region (at exceptional prices), makes this an area that the discerning tourist should not miss. We cannot recommend staying here highly enough. The owners, who live next door, are the perfect hosts. They never once intruded on our privacy, but were more than happy to chat and provide advice, if asked. We look forward to returning!
We fell under the spell of the Château du Marquisat. Completely renovated with great taste, you will find the charm of yesterday and all the comfort of today. Although we stayed there in winter, we were able to appreciate this beautiful region of Minervois, the proximity of the Canal du Midi and the beaches of the Mediterranean. In addition, the owners are really welcoming, we only have one wish: to return in summer!
A true haven of peace! We had an unforgettable stay in this magnificent country house. The swimming pool is perfect for cooling off and soaking up the sun, while the large terrace offers stunning views of the village. The house is spacious, well equipped, and the atmosphere is calming, ideal for recharging your batteries away from the hustle and bustle. A place that I highly recommend for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
Had an amazing time with the family at this beautiful château. Tucked away among adorable little villages, a slice of pure tranquility. It's a place where everything is beautiful and well taken care of. And the pool an absolute gem, a spot where you can relax and soak in the stunning scenery. We loved the laid-back vibe while still things were top-notch in terms of comfort and charm.
We all had a lovely time at Mas Orbiel and would certainly recommend this property to others.
You can still continue your search for other holiday homes in Southern France, but it's not worth the effort. Thanks to the owners for two weeks of perfect vacation in their charming house, where nothing is missing.
We thought that the Loft was lovely. We've had a great two weeks in beautiful accommodation. We've enjoyed exploring the region but have left plenty to do to give us a reason to come back. I know the girls will miss Mack and Mabel - we'll keep you posted if we succumb to their requests to get one of our own! Thank you both for your company and warm hospitality.
Very pretty new hotel, charmingly furnished in the beautiful wine village of Meursault. You can get to Beaune very quickly, but Dijon is also easily accessible by car. Very nice, warm hosts.
What a beautiful château! 18 members of the family came from all over the world for our 50th anniversary wedding together.

Had a great 2 weeks. The house and gardens / pool are amazing - fresh air, beautiful scenery and sitting out every evening was so relaxing! The house is so well equipped and the kids really enjoyed all the facilities. Would absolutely recommend Orchard Farmhoue to anyone coming to the region. The location in great - so easy to get to Bergerac, Perigeux. Thank you for a great holiday.
We had a simply exceptional weekend. The castle is very comfortable with one bathroom per room, the renovation is extremely well thought out and the attention to detail is very appreciable. It's modern and functional. The heating works perfectly well. There is everything you need on site (well-stocked kitchen, stereo, video projector, etc.) The packed wine tasting event on weekends and the walks in the vineyards at the foot of the castle are great. The staff on site is perfect.
Perfect for a relaxing holiday. First impressions were better than the photographs. We wanted a relaxing family holiday after a very hectic year and that is what we experienced. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful but left you completely alone unless you needed something. The villa itself is spotless, beautifully laid out and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Outside is incredibly peaceful and we spend the majority of our time by the pool.. Yet although it feels beautifully isolated it is in fact only minutes from shops and lotes of things to see and dol Will definitely return if we are able.
This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! What a stunning location. We have had a wonderful week and extremely sad to be leaving this idyllic spot. The house is incredibly well appointed and kitted out with everything we could possibly have needed. We spent the week relaxing and fitting in the odd wine tasting, horse ridding lessons for our two girls and visiting the brilliant goat farm! Thank you so much for the incredible stay!
Just back at work after two weeks at Maison Tigre and wanted to thank you for sharing your home with us – we had a fantastic time. We have been staying in France and Italy over the last ten years – varying our choice between rural isolation (for space and privacy) and village houses (for the boulangeries and café s, etc.) and I have to say that your home provides the perfect combination in a part of France where there is so much to do and see. I also really like the house itself – the great care that has gone into the development, finishing and furnishings is evident (and I like the modernist / minimalist style you have employed). All in all a brilliant holiday.
Hi, we arrived last night and have managed to get installed into this lovely house! We had high expectations, but the house exceeds them!
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. The house is situated in an idyllic and very peaceful spot, opposite a small, charming church in a tiny village. The garden offers a beautiful views over the sunflower fields and an XL salt-water swimming pool (very skin friendly). This is a perfect spot to relax and unwind, with a cosy seating area in the shadow of a magnificent tree, or you can cycle round the beautiful area. The house offers every comfort and keeps naturally cool because of the thick walls. The kitchen is well equipped, both indoor and outdoor! - August 2020
I just wanted to say that we all found your house to be absolutely lovely. Everything we could have hoped for. So many nice touches, you clearly put a lot of thought and no doubt effort into making it a very special place. We especially loved the pool of course, which has such a great design for the little ones with the shallow section, but we loved the whole place. Everyone was very happy there. Many thanks

We had a brilliant family holiday at Mas de Lozanne in June 2022, The house and pool were perfect for 6 adults and a baby; a very quiet location but still a short walk into the beautiful town of Pézenas. We plan to return in 2025.
