The villa is located on the edge of Le Somail, a very, very quiet place just 3 minutes from the Canal du Midi. The villa is extraordinary! It even seemed smaller in the photos, but it’s actually very spacious. Well laid out, with separation between the sleeping area of the 4 bedrooms (each with its own bathroom/WC) and the living room. All rooms are air-conditioned. The outdoor area with the pool is excellent. No overlooking neighbors, and the pool gets sun almost all day! (It is cleaned twice a week). Lily and her mother, who welcomed us, were pleasant, helpful, and very responsive.
Thank you for an amazing holiday. The villa is fantastic and allows for all ages to be entertained. Thanks for all the additional help within the week. It helped to make it a special holiday.
What a fabulous place to relax and enjoy with the family ! House and pool have been a treat. And a few games of boules... Everything we could have needed. We are all very thankful for this time and hope to be able to return.

Cottage du Jardin is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful area. It is newly refurbished and has a very classic country feel inside. Gorgeous furnishings and all the facilities that you need for a self-catering stay. The bathrooms are great. The mattresses are firm but the bedrooms are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need, we never felt the need for anything that wasn't to hand. The hosts are very welcoming and have the right balance of checking in and leaving you to it (they live next door). They were able to tell us about local restaurants and must-visit places which was really handy. The pool is very nice, clean and very large for the size of the property. The village is lovely and Montignac is only a few minutes by car, this is a good-sized town with banks and a supermarket. Would recommend!
An ideal place to spend a vacation with family or friends. The house is exposed in such a way that we have the sun all day with a view of the castle on one side and the valley on the other. The summer kitchen near the swimming pool allowed us to eat from morning to evening but we were also able to have breakfast in the courtyard with the rising sun and dinner on the terrace in the light of the setting sun. The house is very large and well equipped, the rooms are spacious and everything is tastefully decorated. We appreciated the proximity of the village, accessible on foot very quickly, but also discovering the region by car. A royal stay in a majestic place where we played the game of having an evening on the theme of “castle life”. It's your turn to play the squire.
Our visit was a combination of stepping back in time and renewing our future selves. The estate is a magical place to explore and I found myself checking out of life's hustle and bustle. A short stroll to the village offered a variety of delicious fare, shopping and amazing photo opportunities!
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.
We have just returned from our stay and wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is. Firstly the property itself is extremely comfortable with a beautifully maintained pool in a lovely setting overlooking the vineyards. The proprietors, Debbie and Rupert, are very welcoming and helpful. They are not intrusive but they do go the extra mile to make the holiday enjoyable. Everything was included that we could possibly have needed and Debbie gave us some delicious home made yoghurt for breakfast. Secondly, this is a brilliant area to visit. It's located pretty much on a crossroads between different areas, so whichever direction you travel in the countryside is different and there are some incredible places to visit: beautiful villages, vineyards, Cahors, the river Lot and its valley, Peche Merle for prehistory and a lovely little prehistory museum in Luzech with some amazing exhibits. We've re-visited places we've been to over the years and also seen some new. It has been everything that we could have wanted - and more.
Fab house! What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. What a wonderful holiday we have had! Such a beautiful house! Had a lovely relaxing holiday. Visited Sarlat, Bergerac and Périgueux - would recommend Sunday morning market in Aubeterre. Will miss waking up to the sound of the countryside.

We have enjoyed every moment of our holiday here. We wanted to get away from our busy lives in London…and we did! Lounging by the pool or in hammocks, followed by evenings with delicious BBQs. Pézenas is a sweet little town with great places to eat and shop. Visit the market on Saturday for an explosion of the senses! We can't wait wait to return next summer.
I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. Have had a great two weeks here in your wonderful house. Very spacious and well-appointed, tasteful and comfortable. Boys have thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We have appreciated tranquility and privacy. We have enjoyed exploring the area and sampling the local cuisine. Restaurant recommendations include Hotel-Restaurant du Château in Campagne, Auberge Médiévale Audrix and for rustic but delicious farmhouse cuisine - Auberge Rebeyrotte near Pressigirac Vicq. House and grounds are fantastic! Excellent facilities. The pools and toys have been lots of fun. We've had such a good week. It's just gone too quickly. We will definitely be recommending the château.
A very beautiful house and property. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and are British so they speak both French and English which is a plus. Since the guest house is located to the side of the main house, you will also have privacy whenever you want. The guest house is wonderfully decorated in a typical French/British style. A large kitchen, a large bedroom with very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom with bath and shower. You have your own terrace where you can start the day with breakfast and a breathtaking view of the garden and the horses :) The host gave us advice and also brought us into the forest where we had a night cap. They helped us find a gig and also lent us their grill and let us use the washing machine. We highly recommend and would love to return. Thanks.
I just wanted to say thank you – we had a wonderful time staying a le Mas de Pitou – it was by far the most perfect place we have stayed in France in over 10 years! The location and setting were ideal, we had some lovely walks straight from the door and the special touch of your fantastic welcome basket of fruit and vegetables was gorgeous! We will be back and will certainly recommend to friends. Carole also was great – friendly, informative and helpful.

Superb property with all the comforts. We spent a week in July 2023 with family and loved the beauty of this area. The infinity pool, the jacuzzi and the ping-pong table delighted the children. The wooded park offers a beautiful space for relaxation and walking. Thank you again for Francesca’s welcome and services!

What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
