The most charming, stylish château which is full of character, lovely art and enormous beds! There is a room for every mood, including a club (!) a billiards room and the most beautiful drawing room. The best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in, a wonderful pool, tennis court, croquet, pétanque… it's impossible to be bored here! The house strikes the perfect balance between being impressive yet still a home. There are lots of different seating options for eating but we highly recommend dinner at the back of the house for the incredible sunsets. We couldn't have loved our stay more and had booked our return visit by day two!
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool.

Very nice place for a stay with friends or family, beautiful interior and exterior spaces, with a magnificent view. In addition, it is possible to take beautiful walks starting from the property. This villa is amazing. The accommodation is fabulous with a lovely kitchen/dining/lounge area, comfortable beds, great showers and very effective air-conditioning. The pool and outside areas are excellent. We were a family group ranging from 15 to 72 years and we all had a wonderful time. The owners are friendly and welcoming, there if you need them, otherwise extremely discreet. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.
Fantastic spacious house (in m² as well as in m3) with a well thought out design interior. The garden is an estate with the occasional deer.
We have had the most delightful holiday! It began with your friendly and welcoming e-mails well before we got here! We have self-catered across Europe in some pretty good places but none quite so lovely as 'The Loft'. The way you prepared it for our arrival, and your warm and generous welcome was simply stunning! We have since enjoyed the quality and comfort of this 'home from home', and your thoughtful attention to all those little details that have made our stay so very special. Our celebration 'bubbly' and delicious cake was a complete surprise and a real treat. We have wondered how it has taken us quite so long to discover the Languedoc, Occitanie! From our all too brief stay we have seen some of the most beautiful countryside, enjoyed the wines and food and visited some of the prettiest towns and villages (many thanks for the suggestion of the Sunday market at Saint-Chinian - what a delight!). We have no doubt that we'll be back and thank you again so much for making us feel so welcome.
THE LOFT! - Undoubtedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed at in France. A great concept realised in every detail. Wonderful hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. Your new B&B concept is beyond our imagination and will be utterly unique on completion. The villa is stunning. The views are incredible. I stayed in the double room on the ground floor, next to the bathroom. A lovely large room, with French doors onto the terrace, a great place to watch the sunsets. Towels are good quality from John Lewis! The upstairs bedroom has a lovely bathroom and stunning views from the private balcony. Just beautiful. Taking breakfast under the olive tree was a delight. The pool is a very good size and very deep. It was very well maintained with a cover. The surrounding pool area is very spacious, with substantial sunbeds and a great barbecue spot. The gardens are beautiful, there's a petanque area, endless olive trees and lovely flower beds in front of the villa. The kitchen is well equipped, although we ate most of the time and a laundry room. A lovely villa in a beautiful part of France. Very relaxing. A great find.
We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
A truly beautiful house and gardens. We have had a tremendous week. We really appreciated the generosity of our hosts - full use of the sport equipment made for three very happy children!
A great place to stay, ideally located for Vouvant, which is a lovely town and a genuine short walk for something good to eat and drink. Fontenay-le-Comte is an interesting large market town. Fervent is worth exploring with pretty forests, lakes and rivers. The owners pool is a good size and adjoins their property. The hosts were very welcoming.

I thoroughly enjoyed the walks that we went on and I was grateful for the time that you both took to do that, which you didn't need to do. It was so relaxing and the views were stunning. Thank you Karen and Russell for giving us the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place. The Loft du Vigneron is one of the nicest places we have stayed, and we have stayed in many. The warm welcome we received when we arrived was lovely after our tiring journey. It was great to have you show us around, and your welcome pack was more than generous. The facilities here are all 5-Star; the Loft is spacious and airy, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and crockery and everything that you need, and more besides. All the ensuite bathrooms are of the highest standard with fluffy towels and pamper products (I want a new bathroom when I go home - I was spoiled here). Karen and Russell, you really know how to look after your guests and spoil them. We can't wait to come back next year for two weeks - one was not enough!
Thank you for another lovely stay in the Loft; a relaxing half-term break for us all. We will look forward to seeing you again for the next one!

We had high expectation of this holiday and were not disappointed. The property is a piece of history in an area steeped in the past. From the moment we arrived, greeted by a couple you seemed to have been friends with all your life, the stresses of every day life evaporated. We immediately felt at home and were very quickly making plans for our next visit. The cottage looks picture postcard from the outside and there really is no detail left undone. The inside has its historic charm in place but with all the amenities necessary so that you are not required to live the Médiéval lifestyle of many some other rural accommodation in France. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated and there are large bathroom and shower facilities (upstairs and down). The private swimming pool is superb and was for our sole use. Its clear waters under pine trees and a blue sky were idyllic. It was difficult to tear my wife from the pool side. The cottage fits perfectly into an area of outstanding beauty where many of the sites we wished to visit were only minutes away. The owners were very welcoming and provided good advice on the places to visit but were not overwhelming so that you could always enjoy complete privacy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot recommend it more highly. If you want to tour the area to see the 1,000 châteaux and the countless prehistoric sites in the area or just chill by the pool, this is the place for you. Thank you for a lovely week.
We have enjoyed our stay at Villa Lavinière, more a home than a rental! A trip to Grasse. A lunch in Minerve (superb crêperie). Abbey Fontfroide and lunch in the restaurant but you need to book. Carcassonne old town. Don't miss 'le petit train' and the canal du midi and the indoor market. Restaurant in Feline-Minervois. Olonzac market on Tuesday morning. A swim in the pool everyday. Looking at the night sky. Just laying on the poolside sun beds. Thank you for letting us share your home.
A bewitching house, beautiful grounds, a wonderful old piano - thanks for having it restored and tuned in time for our course. What more could we ask!
We have just returned from a very successful holiday in Villa Bellara. We were seven (incl two children) in week one and two for most of week two. We were certainly comfortable. The villa is situated in a quiet residential road, so no problems with early morning noise! It is about eight minutes walk from an excellent patisserie for buying croissants etc for breakfast, with an excellent fruit shop opposite. A supermarket is a little further, but easily reached. The beach is about 12 minutes walk. Access to other locations is simple via Cagnes station, (eg Nice or Cannes) and there is a free bus to Cagnes en Haut which is well worth a visit. The property is excellently maintained, the kitchen equipment first class and well thought out. There is a splendid terrace overlooking the pool, with an awning over the dining table which seated us all comfortably. In the evening, the small garden has under lighters under the trees and at midnight, sprays raise up from the grass to water it. The garden, though small, is well maintained, with hedges all round making it very private. We had a most enjoyable, memorable holiday.
I am writing to say what a wonderful time we had at Les Rocans during the week of 3th-10th August. It suited all our needs and we were amazed by the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
We celebrated a big family birthday at Château Mabrouke and enjoyed a welcoming and stunningly beautiful home, with great fun at the pool, tennis court, zipline and on the dance floor. The Pyrénées were the backdrop to the most glorious of settings. An unforgettable holiday.
A luxurious spot with the most beautiful heated pool and views to the Mediterranean. The pool and its view absolutely makes this property. It is absolutely spotless, heated to a perfect 30 degrees and is an infinity pool which adds to the luxurious feel. There is a diving board and a fun water slide and there are foam pool loungers available too. The terrace is also beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and seating and a table for meals. Inside the property is spacious with some interesting antiques and the bedrooms are air conditioned, which is lovely even though there is plenty of shade on hot days anyway. The car can be parked right next to the villa for ease of carrying luggage and supermarket shopping etc. All in all Les Fumerates feels like a slice of paradise, peaceful and calm and difficult to tear yourself away from despite the easy proximity of the coast. The pool is the star attraction, always lovely to swim in even in late evening and with a slide, diving board and floating loungers if wanted. The terrace and pool are lit at night and the calm, luxurious atmosphere makes it almost impossible to leave despite its proximity to some lovely places to visit!
