If you are looking for calm in a peaceful environment, Le Mas de Combet is for that! it is very well equipped, nothing missing! a huge and well maintained lot with this very friendly view of a small lake and the forest . the terrace with its large pergola is ideal for resting or having a drink . we enjoyed the large swimming pool with its summer kitchen. hosts are exceptionally kind and welcoming . we recommend without hesitation.
As we drive north towards home we are reflecting over so many happy memories during this past week. Your beautiful home so full of character and comfort certainly made all the difference to our holiday. We loved it so much I am almost embarrassed to say we only ventured out once for a half day outing (to the lake!). We were all so happy just to be around the pool. We took full advantage of everything you offered... nightly boules, both upper terraces, BBQs, table tennis, the gorgeous private patio outside our room and all that the pool area had to offer etc etc. Dave loved Sonos (but never roused Alexa) and the path along the canal for him to run on... and the challenge of the gates which were fine in the end. The three grandchildren, 2½, 14 months and 5 months loved it all. In fact the one year old took her first steps in your front garden! It was a very special holiday for us all and we just wanted to say a huge thank you for opening your home to us.
The property is set in lovely grounds; away from it all yet close to the bastide towns of Monpazier and Villereal. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which is well kept and maintained on a regular basis by one of the locals. The house is comfortable and equipped with everything you need.
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
A very well located and easily reachable and comfortable villa, close to Cannes, the beaches and the mountains. Quiet area, large pool and nice gym.
I'm going to preface this review by saying our extended family have hired a number of châteaux over the years, so we have something to make comparisons with! Without doubt this château offered the best value for money we have ever enjoyed. Our party of 18 used all the 10 bedrooms on offer, without anyone having to compromise on bedroom space. The kitchen was large enough to cater for the entire party with plenty of worktop space and a large island unit. Refreshingly there are plenty of cooking utensils and professional sized pans etc. There are three fridges, we used the large stand alone fridge for food,= and the two under counter fridges for 'adults' and kids drinks. The lounge diner is huge and comfortable, with good quality games available, including chess and backgammon. The pool is among the largest we've ever enjoyed with a deep end you can actually dive into. At points we had a dozen people in the pool and still had room to swim around. There are two main terraces, both easily able to accommodate at least 20 people. Smaller seating areas are dotted around the grounds so if inclined you can take yourself off for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a new and very good quality BBQ on the rear terrace with a moving charcoal tray which means you can raise the heat source as charcoal burns away. We were able to BBQ for 18 on half a bag of lump wood. Our party had 5 cars, the driveway was large enough for them to be parked so that everyone could drive out of the château without the need to move another vehicle. Saving the best to last, the sports hall/games room is magnificent. With a full sized badminton court, a basket ball hoop, 2 table tennis tables, table football, a darts board,= and a full sized pool table our whole party had plenty of activities to choose from. This facility was constantly used for weeklong knockout completions including our own decathlon type event. Modesty prevents me revealing who the best pool player was. From our perspective, this vast array of facilities and activities provided the perfect ingredients for our first ever holiday where children needed no entertaining at all. Finally a place they can truly entertain themselves.
I loved the stay. Incredible views, great decoration of the place and very good energy, as well as a high level of privacy. I recommend 100%.

It's been lovely staying somewhere with an excellent kitchen and such well-appointed bathrooms. And the beds are exceptionally comfortable. Externally, your garden is absolutely stunning and such a fabulous surprise - we leave inspired! More than anything, it's been your warmth and generous hospitality which will stay with us.
Thank you! We have spent a glorious week at The Loft, which feels like a home away from home. You have been fabulous hosts, and your suggestions of places to visit and vineyards to try have been spot on. After ‘confinement’ in Paris for many months, the pool was a joy. We love the garden and it’s shady spots and enjoyed Mack and Mabel’s company. We can see why people return to this wonderful place, and we hope to be one of them very soon. We are back home after a really lovely family holiday at Maison Semoussac. The weather was mixed (the rain needed of course) but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. The children loved running down the track leaving little carrots in the hope of seeing hares and picking blackberries which were plentiful. The children's toys and books were wonderful and (surprisingly for their age) they loved playing Monopoly! Marian cooked us a couple of delicious meals too. Thank you so much.
A wonderful time in a wonderful castle! A wonderful time had by all of our family in this wonderful castle - -what a treat to spend time in a place with such a rich history! We loved eating marshmallows by the fire, exploring all the nooks and crannies of the caste, admiring the autumn colours of the garden and big family meals inside and out (we had amazing and exceptional weather.) Outside of the castle, we went wine tasting at Epineuil, visited Tonnere, explored the Grotte ‘Arcy, We played tennis a number of times, went regularly to beautiful Noyers, and saw a great exhibition at the Chateau Arcy d’ Franc. And the kids went twice to the biplane park - Auxois Morvan Adventures (for children and adults!). Thanks to the Manager for showing us the wine barrels and teaching us about wine production - it was a special treat. Mercy Mille Fois!

I stayed in this stunning house in May this year. It is beautifully presented and very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It has the added benefits of an outdoor swimming pool and a games room. The owner has gone to great lengths to make this a home away from home! It hides behind pretty old stone walls, just a few steps from the centre of the beautiful historic town of Pezenas. I am looking forward to returning in the future!

Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. Merci beaucoup.
Well kept gardens and lovely house. Would highly recommend to anyone. Extras like the UK adapters were a nice touch. Pool made the children holiday. It was also very clean and perfect size and depth. Great hosts, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We have had the most amazing week Wow, wow, wow – when I first saw the pictures it looked gorgeous, but when we arrived the villa was even more stunning. Debbie and Brent are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. The grounds were so picturesque. Wonderful week in this lovely house in Sarlat. The house has everything for a summer stay including being cool when temperatures hit high 30s as it did this week. The lush green garden was a real plus for me, so much biodiversity - one urban spot, absolutely loved it. Unbelievably close to everything in Sarlat, we enjoyed our daily boulangerie visits and eating out most evenings-all were good. Short drives to Lascaux caves, fascinating, and canoeing on the Dordogne, which is a must, so many different dragonflies and even a kingfisher.
A magnificent week in the charm of this marvellous house and the surrounding area of Les Marquises. Nothing was spared for our comfort and we take with us excellent memories of our visit. Thank-you.
We have stayed in many French farmhouses over the years, the whole family agree that Le Malardier is the best by far. We have had a fabulous holiday. The youngsters have enjoyed the pool and working on their tans. We’ve all loved the opportunity to sit and watch the wild life and the beautiful landscape. Although it has been incredibly hot the house is wonderfully cool. We would love to come back!
Great feeling of space with plenty of room for children to play. Pool was superb and much used. The childrens swimming skills improved immensely. Thank you Takayla for lovely food and for accommodating late arrival and intolerances. Nick and Takayla were available and friendly without being intrusive. A wonderful week at Maison Baleyssagues. The house is extremely well set up and equipped. We enjoyed cooking and eating at all of the dining spots inside and outside. Some of our party even swam in the pool, though the season was over. We also enjoyed walks in the surrounding countryside and three terrific day trips. We highly recommend La Table de Catusseau- imaginative and exquisite. Thanks to Frederic for his excellent support.

We really appreciated your very generous gift of wine and provisions. The village is lively and we have made good use of all it has to offer. terrific choice of the alimentation, delightful terrace and delicious food at the Bar de Prores and a timely haivent at Tiffany's Satin. We recommend a trip to Uzes, Nîmes and Avignon and had a delicious lunch on the banks of the Gardon at Colias on the way to the Pont du Gard. Also, do try the real wine from La Grappe d'Or in the village.
You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
We had a wonderful time at Château du Pic de Rigaud - as our five year old said 'I'd like to stay for forever, or maybe two...
