Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for your warm hospitality. Our week here has or provided us with much needed R and R after the turmoil of the last year. We will be sad to leave but hope to return.
We have had the most fabulous holiday. Villa Montplaisir was perfect - and so well equipped. Wish we were staying for another week. We're going to miss the pool - and the shady table for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
We cannot think of a more wonderful house and beautiful location for a superb holiday. You have been the most perfect hosts. We have loved our early morning walks in the countryside - the perfect backdrop for our engagement.
We enjoyed a very happy week at the villa. The only problem was that the villa is so nice that most of our plans for getting out and about were abandoned! We loved the privacy of the garden and pool area.
Beautiful property in a great corner of France. The house was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. It is a short walk or bike ride from the village and there are endless options of exploring Le Var further afield. We'd definitely return. Thanks!
The property is set in lovely grounds; away from it all yet close to the bastide towns of Monpazier and Villereal. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which is well kept and maintained on a regular basis by one of the locals. The house is comfortable and equipped with everything you need.
Had a fabulous week at Château Velouse. If you're looking for some time out in splendid surroundings, then I can highly recommend Château Velouse. The château is stunning and there is everything there that you will need. We chose to provide our own cooking during our visit but, I know that Philip and Claire can provide a chef should you require. A great place for a family get together. Highly recommended.
An amazing and wonderful place to stay! We only had a week but it was a very special week, our first time in the Dordogne was made into an extra special one by staying in this fairytale cottage with the owners providing everything that you would want or need for a brilliant holiday they were the perfect hosts! The cottage was perfect, clean and very comfortable not to mention the pool which was an added bonus we would be very happy to recommend this beautiful cottage and location for a relaxing holiday!
We had an amazing stay at your wonderful house. The setting was wonderful and we had a truly relaxing time. The scenery was a joy. We also liked the beautiful village / hamlet with such a wonderful church. We met many French people who were exceptionally friendly. We cooked with all the fresh produce from the markets and ate outside surrounded by hay bales ! Thank you for such an amazing week. - P and K
We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!
OMG! What a great place. Everything has been wonderful. Accommodation, pool all awesome. Felt at home, so relaxing. Loved the area.
A beautiful, pleasant and very well equipped house. Well maintained garden and swimming pool. We will also not forget this beautiful hill and this wonderful region. Not to mention the memorable ping-pong and table football match!
Our holiday for the past week in this beautiful property has been nothing but a 5 star experience. Thierry and Philippe provided everything to such a high and professional standard for us. The house and pool area were perfect in every way. So peaceful and relaxing, we would definitely return and would advise anyone in booking, to do so.
We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.
A fantastically relaxing 2 weeks. The house and pool are perfect and Hugh and Ian couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We've already booked for next year and can't wait to get back here.

Fabulous accommodation in a very beautiful setting. Enjoyed living in the wonderful restored Saint-Sulpice. The pool house is exceptional and was well used. Lots of things to do and see. The children enjoyed the velo-rail. Caves at Villars also wonderful as well as the 'beau villages' Simon and Nicholas have been wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
The house itself is superb and clearly a lot of thought went into its restoration, the evidence of quality is everywhere. We loved that when you arrived, it was a total surprise. It is a wonderfully spacious home, private and so well equipped. A truly relaxing holiday, we wanted for nothing.
Our stay here has been most enjoyable. The villa is very comfortable and a pleasant mixture of modern and antique décor. The pool has been used every day, even though the weather has become a little cooler at the end of September. Bessan is well situated for visiting lots of interesting places. We have had a lovely time here in this peaceful place. A beautiful setting, delightful gardens and comfortable longère. We enjoyed the pool when the wind didn't pick up but it is idyllic in so many ways. Thank you Christine, Ian and Jean for all your help. Very well equipped home.
Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back

We stay at the apartment for 3 days. The apartment is exactly as described, modern and new residential building, great location right near the beach and walkable distance from local restaurants and shops. The apartment has everything needed and gives amazing feeling of being "at home". We will definitely want to stay again in the amazing place.
This lovely welcoming farmhouse provided a magnificent base for a family wedding which took place in a small village, 25 minutes away, not far from the bride’s home. The property accommodated very comfortably our immediate family and family joining us from Canada. We were also able to cater with ease for other wedding guests staying in the vicinity and popping in for drinks or for supper in the days following the event. Whilst keeping the French rustic charm of the property, it has a modern elegant interior: bright, uncluttered and comfortable. Light oak has been used most attractively to open up the stairs and landings, The good quality beds and bed linen have already been mentioned by other reviewers: add to these the well-appointed bathrooms and the lashings of hot water. Although the kitchen area is small, a good sized utilty room provides extra storage. There was everything we needed for cooking and the domestic appliances were excellent The house is deep into the countryside – there is no such thing as a corner shop. The boulangerie in Lautrec sells excellent croissants if you get there early enough and we bought delicious freshly made pizzas from the bakery in Puycalvel itself – and even ordered them on-line.The 'welcome pack’ included easily accessed information on everything we could possibly want to know and she supplied us with directions to the house from points north, south, east and west.
We have just returned from our long drive back from Communes and would like to say what a absolutely wonderful property and fantastic hosts. Would recommend to anyone. Will start looking in diary for next year + to arrange another visit
Fabulous house on the edge of the village with magical views and absolute peace and privacy. We were thrilled to see so much wildlife, so many wonderful birds, butterflies, red squirrel and deer around the house. We flew into Limoges which is a tiny and very easy airport to manage. Car hire is just outside the exit, the roads are blissfully empty and the drive to Lusignac was a pleasure. We couldn't have had a better week.
A very enjoyable stay at this château. An adventure to be reminded for life. Not to be easily forgotten. Wonderful location, great weather and very helpful staff. Memorable stay. Thank you.
