What an amazing 2 weeks, it went far too quick. The most perfect accommodation. Scenery, weather, could not fault anything. Amazing days out at the Aquaparc in Castelnaudary (excellent value for money). Villeneuve-sur-Lot is worth a visit for some shopping and excellent food at Terminus de la Cale with amazing views of the river. Lacapelle night market is a great experience (try and get there by 5:30pm for parking). Go karting at K47 near Agen is perfect if the weather is a bit mixed. Otherwise just relax at the house. We definitely hope to be back.
This property is so beautiful you may not want to venture out, but if you do there are great restaurants and bars nearby as well as lovely walks and biking trails. The rooms are very comfortable, all en-suite and everything you could wish for is provided. The huge swimming pool / pool house / relaxing / eating and barbecue areas mean that you can be outside all the time but the gorgeous well equipped kitchen and indoor rooms offer a cool alternative. Cant wait to go back!
We had all been looking forward to this holiday and nothing disappointed - we have all had a wonderful time and at least we christened the pool! The time has passed so quickly - thank you for your wonderful hospitality, as always. We are looking forward to seeing you again this October.

Very pretty new hotel, charmingly furnished in the beautiful wine village of Meursault. You can get to Beaune very quickly, but Dijon is also easily accessible by car. Very nice, warm hosts.

Perfect family retreat First time visiting Charente and we could not have been happier with La Charmante Distillerie. It was ideal for my grandparents with bedrooms on the ground floor and easy walking to a beautiful terrace and pool. The Gite is located in a forest and the views are stunning. The focus on sustainability was good to see, especially all the fruit trees and herbs for cooking. Mark’s attention to detail was superb and he was so helpful with recommendation and local knowledge. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend as a tranquil getaway.
We've been lucky enough to stay at Manoir de Fouilloux on two separate occasions and have loved our stay both times. The house has been decorated and equipped to an extremely high standard. The property is blessed with beautiful views and a number of perfectly maintained gardens, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine, either on the terrace or in the Moroccan courtyard and den or by the swimming pool. It is also within a short distance of picturesque towns and châteaux. If you fancy some wine tasting St Emilion is close by as are the vineyards of Bergerac or maybe a visit to a local food market in Riberac. We are certainly planning to stay again! A beautiful maintained property, tastefully decorated and providing excellent facilities, both inside and out. It has commanding views of the countryside and the grounds are delightful with a large pool. It has the added bonus of a pool house which offers opportunities to relax, eat and cook outside of the main house. There is also a lovely shady BBQ area. It makes an ideal place for families to enjoy holidays together and our grandchildren loved it. The on-site guardian and his wife are always on hand to give any help needed. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we hope to return.
We've spent a great week in this very quiet and verdant location. A very nice and comfortable house, indoors and outdoors. Terrace, swimming pool, sun loungers... It was great! Near Pézenas (wonderful), Valmagne Abbaye (wonderful) and local markets... The owner is sweet and very discreet.
We have really enjoyed our holiday at La Maison Cabanon. It has been very quiet yet near enough to town, just perfect for a family holiday. We have been blessed with great weather and the kids really enjoyed the pool and being together in the bunkbed room. The facilities in the house are of a much higher standard than usual villas. A real home from home.
We had a lovely time at Corinne's apartment. It is very clean, had all amenities for daily living, she has thought of everything. Beautiful, peaceful location, amazing balcony to relax on. Full shutters and blinds on all windows and doors for complete privacy. It is a very calm and peaceful place to unwind and short walk to restaurants and right on the beach. Massive supermarket directly opposite which sells everything you could ever need including excellent seafood. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful week, the house has real soul and you have thoughtfully made the very best of each view. Wonderful seats in the garden, shade and sun to maximise the pleasure. The house is absolutely charming and all the finishing touches have made for a very special week. Not only a holiday but I feel culturally enhanced too. You have a beautiful, well-appointed villa with all mod cons and loads of fun distractions to occupy the younger members of the family - pétanque, pool, table tennis, croquet, swimming and baby foot. The weather was unremittingly hot but your beautifully air-conditioned house provided welcome respite. We would strongly recommend this to our friends.

We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards. All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
Wonderful two weeks stay. So peaceful at Mas de Pitou and so much nearby that we never had need to travel beyond where we could reach by foot or bike. The house manager Carole couldn't have been more helpful.

The pool is really heated! Many pools in the south of France 'suggest' they are heated. However, Les Fumerates' pool - which is huge - actually is heated! In fact when we arrived the pools temp was 29C (86F)! After unpacking we took an early evening swim followed by an early morning swim... You get the idea... Like the picture suggests the views here are amazing. We had the downstairs apartment which was perfect. Two sets of French doors lead you to the pool, there are retractable awnings to shade you while having breakfast. The master bedroom is very large with a king size bed and a queen size bed which is great for unpacking or sitting on etc. There's a second bedroom and a breakfast / TV room. The kitchen was spotless with a view over the pool. A/C worked well (very important from mid June until end of August). Also there are 2 bathrooms (very handy). All in all highly recommended.
Wonderful house in a small willage, two steps away from all amenities you may need during your stay. Air conditioning is a must, so is the pool which offers a perfect privacy. The summer kitchen is very appreciable. Linda is also available and very kind. I 100% validate. Thanks for all. Mélanie

Incredible stay in an absolutely beautiful property. Superb aesthetic and practical attention to detail, and first rate hospitality and generosity from the hosts, Gary and Mark. We had such a relaxing, restful week - and are returning as total Cognac converts!

We have just finished a very relaxing and enjoyable two week stay in Mas Saint-Martial. The house was very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The garden is large with plenty of shade to enjoy when the weather is warm. The pool is one of the nicest we have enjoyed in any of gites we have stayed at in France. Long enough to swim for exercise and comfortably warm. The owners live in the adjacent building and were very welcoming and able to advise about local shopping, restaurants, but not at all intrusive. This is a quiet corner of rural France, but there was plenty to see and visit locally, with easy access to bakery and shops and good restaurants nearby. Some of the best value was the lunch in the local restaurant in Saint Martial.
What a super week at the villa! The pool was fabulous – great size and depth. The villa felt like a home from home, with everything catered for. Can recommend a bike ride over to Capestang – lunch of pizza and salad was fantastic. What can we say about Philippe? He has been welcoming, attentive, receptive, but somehow invisible at the same time! Many thanks for organising the ‘fauteuil’ for mum. A casual enquiry about hiring a wheelchair led to a delivery of one for the week. Who could ask for more?!
We are back again! Thank you so much Jackie and Geoff, we had the most fantastic stay again. The house was beautiful and the pool was perfect. We spent 99% of the time outside. Drinks at Le Pub and dinner at plenty of new restaurants! No car needed. Thank you!
