Seven days of swimming, rounders, running, races, hide and seek and much more have delivered a break to remember, especially for the kids! And that, of course, makes a holiday for the adults. P.S. We saw a deer!
Dear Gay and Richard thank you endlessly for sharing your beautiful house with us! Having stayed in many beautiful places it is safe to say this one has been the ultimate. THE LOFT! - Undoubtedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed at in France. A great concept realised in every detail. Wonderful hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. Your new B&B concept is beyond our imagination and will be utterly unique on completion. We have been using Pure France regularly for many years and we have always stayed in fabulous Villas in great locations. However, we feel that Maison des Communes has just raised the bar for us in terms of the quality of the Villa with its many separate buildings and exotic furnishings. The pool was great and perfectly aligned to catch the Languedoc, Occitanie sunshine all day. And the welcome from the Owners really made us feel welcome and valued as a Customer. They even helped us carry our luggage in from the car! We were so impressed that less then 24 hours after arrival we have already booked for the next year. We cannot wait to return. 5 / 5

Excellent stay in an idyllic setting! We had a wonderful week long stay with the family. The hosts are charming and very helpful. The house is very pleasant to live in and the bedding is excellent! The swimming pool is superb, the pool house also ... in short, a perfect week!
We are returning guest since now more than 5 years. We love Villa Baleyssagues and Frédéric ! We love everything in the house and all the different changes/improvement in the house due to new ownership. Pool remain the same with its impressive shape ! The only negative point is that the house is rapidly fully booked !!!
Well, what can we say other than we have had a ball and our 'musicals' night with you both will enter the folklore of the families. Thank goodness we found this last minute! What a find... We were the first renters in this lovely house - thank you for a wonderful week. It's like staying in a chic boutique hotel, but you have the whole place to yourself ! Everything is fabulous, the interior design and the garden and pool area. We found it hard to drag ourselves away from the pool and the little ones loved the designated play area. And we are now professional boules players... and pastis drinkers. Thanks to Mark and Gary for making our week so special.

Lovely quiet house with pool in the heart of a pretty village - garden well maintained and flowered with magnificent views of the Dordogne - Interior decoration - friendly welcome - Geographical location (30 minutes from Sarlat and Domme) - The area is superb. There are numerous activities and visiting castles or cities, biking and canoeing... Well recommended!
We've had a great time and we’ve especially enjoyed the pool, as the temperature has barely dropped below 30°C day or night for the week due to the canicule. Our favorites: Best boulangerie: Andralie in Monflanquin, just beyond the Gendarmerie on the road to Villeneuve. There is an Auchan hypermarket just beyond on the same road. Best market: (Sunday) Issigeac. Best night for: Sarlat (Wednesday's), Le Bugue also good (Tuesday's). Best for a visit and potter: Monpazier – old, beautiful and floral. Lots of artisan shops and a long fort (Château Biron). Also, fabulous marché nocturne in Tournon d’Agenais on Friday. We ate from (Gyp?) and enjoyed watching Olympics in cool shady areas.
Château Mézard is a stunning property and certainly set the backdrop for a very memorable family holiday. I can clearly see why you previously spoke so fondly of the château. The holiday was intended as a special celebration with close family. As such we were mixed in our ages and interests but the château provided the perfect setting to cater for all of our interests, from the little ones down to the adults amongst us. The children had tremendous fun in and around the pool. I personally took great pleasure in strolling around the beautiful grounds and taking in some of the breathtaking scenery. Laurent, Didier and Rachel did their upmost to ensure that we had a wonderful time and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We had a great time here for 2 weeks with the family. The house is well equipped and the family really enjoyed the pool. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful house, with impeccable physical structure and decoration and to top it off, a breathtaking view of Lake Annecy. The hosts are extremely friendly, helpful and gave great tips on activities in the area. Without a doubt, one of the most memorable family vacations!!!

We've had a super time in the house, made some fabulous meals, enjoyed al fresco dining and of course the pool! We enjoyed exploring especially Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. We had a very nice week. We were 11 adults and the house is very large, the spacious rooms (all equipped with fans), the kitchen very well equipped: the 2 fridges are a plus when there are many of us to avoid going shopping every day, the 2 nice dishwashers too! The place is quiet, the garden nice and the pool huge! In addition, a stone's throw from the house flows La Rigole, a river bordered by a path under the trees, ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. At the end of this path, 4km away (about 40 minutes walk, in the shade) is a guinguette where we spent our last evening. Sam is very responsive and answered my questions before and during the stay in record time! We will keep a very good memory of our holiday with friends in Saint Paulet!
Another fantastic stay for the Hill family. Everything you could wish for and worth listening to the daily countdown from the grandchildren since we booked. Only problem is 2 weeks is not enough!

Wonderful time here in Sarlat. This house is perfect for seeing the area. Lots of great things to do within easy distance. The house is in a beautiful location and with the high temperatures this week the pool has been a godsend. Everything in the house is geared for visitors and it's really well equipped. This is my first time in the Dordogne and it's absolutely beautiful. I will certainly come back soon. Thank you Jackie and Geoff for a wonderful holiday.
Wow! What a fabulous stay we have had in Sarlat. Air conditioning was a godsend during 43° and the pool was great fun. Lovely to be able to walk into town each evening and soak up the atmosphere, and watch the football! Great meals at Coin Coin and finally some sunshine. We would recommend anyone wanting to visit Sarlat to stay here! Thank you!
