Absolutely perfect place for a stay with family or friends. The hosts are very welcoming and attentive to any request. The rooms are perfect, the bedding excellent.
Fabulous stay at Les Fumerates. Pool is 'top of the line'. Quiet villa high on a hillside. A few minutes walk from Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Everything is exactly as described. Highly recommended.
Fabulous elegant stay. Just returned from a fantastic stay at Manoir Capraise. We only had a week at this fantastic house but it was very memorable. The main house and gîte have been beautifully and tastefully restored. There is great quality and attention to detail throughout from the lovely terraces / landscaping / pool / vegetable garden to the quality furnishings and equipment . Many a lovely meal was enjoyed admiring the fantastic location from the multiple outdoor seating areas on the terraces. The gîte provided a great independent area for teenagers and the well equipped gym was a bonus, plans for a games room will further enhance this great property. We appreciated a lovely welcome package of local wine and produce, another quality touch. Thank you Mark and Sarah, everything was just perfect, we hope to return again.
We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!

Had a wonderful week with friends in the magnificent Château Velouse. A lovely place to relax (by the heated swimming pool, in the sumptuous rooms and the very well appointed kitchen - not to mention strolling round the extensive grounds!). Hosts Phil and Claire could not have been more welcoming and have provided copious notes about things to do and places to see. Such was the relaxed atmosphere (and the heat!) we hardly felt the need to leave the château. Our suite was so grand, that it was even hard to leave the bedroom!
Another wonderful week at Bellevue, this time we had all our family with us, the grandchildren were in their element, swimming, paddling in the Dordogne, and watching the hot air balloons. They saw 11 on our last evening! Thank you for your hospitality, it is always a pleasure to be in this beautiful part of the Dordogne.

Wonderful home for a family vacation, amenities all on one level with nice pool with good alarm protection. Also a great place to live outside with pizza maker, BBQ and very easy to use functional kitchen. Lots of outside shaded seating areas. Air conditioning in bedrooms was a great benefit during hot weather. Lovely furnishings and felt like the home of a happy family. Easy access to boulangerie, supermarket and local restaurant - all less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you.
Fantastic place. Peace and tranquillity and magnificent view from the balcony. Proximity to a private beach. Perfectly equipped kitchen, large living room. I highly recommend it to everyone. Here we are again! The Loft and it’s setting never loses its WOW! factor; we have had yet another ( fifth ) visit, having enjoyed the garden, pool, local area and not least your wonderful hospitality. Thank you so much - an oasis of calm in the Covid-19 storm! The measures you have taken to protect guests have been executed with your usual discretion and thoroughness, allowing us to truly relax.
Highly recommended. The house was very spacious, tidy and even more beautiful than in the photos. There is a large beautiful and enclosed garden and by the pool a nice terrace. The owner were really friendly and helpful. Both we and our 5 dogs had a great vacation. We will definitely go back again!

The Manoir was exactly what we were looking for. Expansive accommodation for the 6 of us, with every amenity including a grand kitchen, gardens with outdoor dining and a sumptuous pool.
We had a very happy stay in your villa. We visited le jardin Saint Adrien which was beautiful but did not stay for the horses and the music. The villa really was perfect and thank you for allowing us to use it.
Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed the house and the boys (13 and 11) loved the pool! It was a great place to have as our base and we explored the Dordogne and Lot enjoying kayaking, zip-lines, châteaux, markets, medieval towns, caves and gardens. Monpazier was one of our favourites! Our visit exceeded all our expectations. We came to this beautiful villa for a family reunion and a very special 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the charm, beauty and atmosphere of this property. The villa is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for everyone to relax, socialise and enjoy quality family time together. The surroundings are breathtaking and all of us made memories to last lifetime. We will treasure this for years to come. If you would have us again, then we will be back. We returned to La Charmante Distillerie in July 2025 for three weeks after the most fantastic stay last year - and it felt just as special, if not more so, the second time around. Mark and Gary have created something truly memorable here: a place that strikes the perfect balance that is beautifully designed and endlessly comfortable, peaceful without being remote and thoughtful in all the ways that matter. Everything is designed to help you slow down and properly switch off. Our daughters, 13 and 15, instantly settled back into their favourite rhythm - hours in the pool, relaxing in the snug, making jewellery outdoors and enjoying the freedom the setting creates. And we did the same— café and a book in the early morning sun, long lunches and quiet evenings with a cocktail or two, followed by some stunning late-night stargazing. One of the real joys of returning was being able to explore the surrounding communes a little more, expertly guided by Mark and Gary’s thoughtful suggestions. From stunning local restaurants and distilleries, night food markets, artisanal crafts in Aubeterre, fascinating visits to beautiful Templar churches and an unforgettable day at the Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux. Every recommendation was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for. It made the whole experience feel richer and more connected. What once again made this visit even more meaningful was having Mark and Gary as hosts. They are the kindest, most generous and genuine couple. It’s rare to find a place that gets under your skin in the best possible way - but La Charmante Distillerie has done exactly that. Returning felt like coming home and we left feeling recharged, grateful and already planning our visit next year….....if Mark and Gary will have us. Its also hard not to repeat what we said after our first visit in 2024: we’d love to keep this our own little secret… but that wouldn’t be fair. It really is the perfect destination with the perfect hosts.

What a wonderful week. La Malardier is the most dreamy of places to stay. We ate top dollar food, swam in the pool in stonking sunshine, drank our fill. Amazing setting. Beautiful view. We will remember this week forever more. We would like to block book Malardier forever, until next year - viva la France.
Exceptional. What an exceptional place. We highly recommend this fantastic rental as the perfect vacation spot to escape the stress of everyday life. It is in a perfect, unique and well placed setting for visitors to enjoy the delights of the Dordogne countryside.
One cannot improve on Perfection! Where then should we begin with our praiseworthy comments ?! Should we start by mentioning the welcoming warmth and engaging, positively colourful, accomplished characters that were our hosts, the exquisite taste, elegant and classic style of decor and furnishings presenting a regal, yet comfortable, homely feel, the 15th Century magic of years of History in every corner, the scrumptious and generous welcome pack, the quiet peace of the surroundings and the relaxing, yet vibrant courtyard, bursting with greenery, punctuated by subtle pops of colour from scented roses amongst other floral tributes outside and in, including delicate orchids enhancing every room, also hung with original artwork and beneath our feet, Persian and exotic rugs to soften our tread... I could go on, but I think you get my drift! The understated luxury of this homely, comfortable haven away from the busy, demanding lives we seek to escape on holiday, has achieved the perfect balance and we look forward tremendously to another visit when life allows! If you’re lucky enough to secure a booking...You’ll love it too!
