A delightful week spent in a beautiful corner of France. We are at least 20Kg heavier! (Shared between four people, in our defence). Extremely comfortable and tasteful accommodation - thank you for the warm welcome.
As regular visitors we choose this area for over 30 years. This is without doubt the loveliest property we we ever had. The location and settings are glorious. We loved to sat in every places of the garden and at different times of the day. Loved the relaxing and beautiful pool area enjoyed the tasteful but functional rooms and cooked every night in this well appointed kitchen. All the small touches and details show great level of consideration from the owners. Thank you so much Frederick has been welcoming and helpful it was lovely to come back and we hope to return at least once next year.
We had a fantastic holiday at the property and to be quite honest, didn't want to leave. Glum faced we are looking back on our holiday snaps wishing we weren't back in the gloomy English weather, but sitting out on the glorious verandah! Your hospitality was second-to-none and the whole holiday faultless.
We loved our stay at this lovely Domaine, Today is our last day, and we’re leaving in pain. We really had the nicest time, Especially our cozy get-togethers with lots of good wine. The days have flown by, but there’s no need to cry, We will always remember Karen’s wonderful pie.

Lovely location with beautiful views in a quiet and peaceful setting. Fantastic facilities, the house had everything you needed and more, super swimming pool, lovely and warm, well maintained and enjoyed by all the family. We had a fantastic family holiday everyone loved the pool / tennis court, BBQ's, trips to the local villages. We came last year and we will definitely book again.
We had a pleasant stay with friends in the charming area of Stanislas. We were 12 adults with children and the two houses allowed us to each have our own private space, it was nice. Special mention for the outside which offers an unobstructed view, with lots of vegetation. I recommend this accommodation :)

We enjoyed the house very much. We especially enjoyed the kitchen. The provision of cook books, an array of perfectly clean utensils. A stock of herbs and spices was a real bonus. We hope many more come and enjoy it as we did.

What you have done with your property is truly magnificent despite the artisans! We enjoyed following your recommendations for places to visit and have navigated our way through the vineyards - thank you for our adventures! We went to Narbonne and saw synchronized kite flying that was really exciting to watch. We will really miss the gardens and pool. Au revoir.

We loved it here so much in 2022, we came back for 2024. Another fantastic stay - the villa is as special as we remembered it. More places discovered, more wine tasted and more memories made. Sete and Montpellier for this visit were a big hit. Kayaking down the Orb from Reals a family highlight. We will be back for a hat trick of visits as we love this villa!
An exceptional discovery in Meursault! The property is finely furnished, clean and comfortable. Just a stone's throw from the center and various wineries. I highly recommend it to everyone! We will return soon! Well done.
We found the holy trinity of travel in our first trip to the Dordogne in as much as our stay provided the perfect property, superb hosts and a wonderful location. Owners have renovated the property wonderfully by melding traditional Dordogne architecture with contemporary interior design that maintains the character of the property but also provides modern comforts. The location of the cottage combines a secluded rural position with easy access (5 minutes walk) to Thonac's 2 restaurants, shop and hotel bar. Similarly the main road through Thonac takes you through the picturesque Vezere valley with Montignac and our favourite Saint Leon only a few minutes drive. Médiéval Sarlat, Beynac and Domme are slightly further afield but still an easy journey. Caves to canoeing, troglodytes to trekking and food and drink aplenty are all easily accessible from Thonac and you really can make any sort of holiday from this property. Its magnificent!
Utterly charming property with wonderful views across the landscape. The property has a tasteful appearance and matched by comfortable furnishings and very well appointed. The swimming pool terrace is a superb elevated location from which to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the surrounding villages. The rooms are all a good size as are the unspoilt and private gardens, which are well stocked and quite attractive. We had a superb vacation with friends and we would certainly return again in the future. The local villages are blessed with an array of shops selling good quality local produce, as well as a selection of restaurants, bars, café s etc and we would recommend some of the local vineyards for excellent Rose du Provence wines. Highly recommended.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. We have just returned from our stay and wanted to let you know what a lovely place this is. Firstly the property itself is extremely comfortable with a beautifully maintained pool in a lovely setting overlooking the vineyards. The proprietors, Debbie and Rupert, are very welcoming and helpful. They are not intrusive but they do go the extra mile to make the holiday enjoyable. Everything was included that we could possibly have needed and Debbie gave us some delicious home made yoghurt for breakfast. Secondly, this is a brilliant area to visit. It's located pretty much on a crossroads between different areas, so whichever direction you travel in the countryside is different and there are some incredible places to visit: beautiful villages, vineyards, Cahors, the river Lot and its valley, Peche Merle for prehistory and a lovely little prehistory museum in Luzech with some amazing exhibits. We've re-visited places we've been to over the years and also seen some new. It has been everything that we could have wanted - and more.
Beautiful, very quiet location. The swimming pool, the huge grounds and the electric bikes were very much appreciated by the whole family. Ideally exotic and invigorating holidays.
We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We have had a fabulous time in the pool, playing pool and losing at table football. We would like to recommend going to Monflanquin for the medieval festival on the 16th August.
You do have a little piece of heaven carved out here - we enjoyed it all.
Gordon family and Mullaly family Thank you for letting us stay in this lovely farmhouse. The best days of the holiday were spent here in the farmhouse by the pool. The teens loved the gym and the tennis court. Such a lovely location. Much local excitement when the Tour de France (femmes) passed the driveway. What a fabulous day! Enjoyed the wine tour and our 2 meals out in Richelieu. The view from the terrace is exceptional and such a good place to drink coffee and welcome the morning or indeed the evening. Great family team here to spend much for a great visit.
