Spacious, pretty and very well located house! We had a great week in your accommodation! Host attentive and available to answer questions. Accommodation next to the house (the atelier) is very good when two families stay, each has their own autonomy with their own personal space. We recommend this house without hesitation!
This home is spacious and beautifully appointed with spectacular views that offer an ever-changing backdrop. We found the early mornings particularly beautiful and loved watching the amazing sunsets sitting by the pool or on the veranda. This stylish and well-equipped home from home was a truly wonderful place to stay and had everything we could wish for to have a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to returning very soon.

Beautiful château, very comfortable for a large group of mixed ages. Fantastic for children and adults alike. Lovely pool and trampoline was well used. Appreciated the DVDs and TV access. Brilliant choice of catering and all delicious. Perfect service, thank you.
Our week at Maison des Communes has been the most perfect way to celebrate 3 very important birthdays. Two 60th and one 40th. We have enjoyed every moment and couldn't have wished for a better location, or host to make this stay as special as possible. As a group of six adults (three couples) it was great to each have our own space with the villa, but also lovely communal areas to have our meals and relax together. Everything about the villa has been ideal from the pool, bikes and comfortable bedroom to the spacious sprawling grounds. the icing on the cake has been Philippe. What a gracious host bringing fresh pastries, leaving welcome gifts and even arranging a beautiful meal at a local restaurant. Thanks so much. we will be back.
Fantastic villa in very good condition! Very helpful and responsive on a few questions we had. The pool is incredible, nice and deep for kids practicing their jumps!
The house and the grounds are fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area. The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc comfortable. The kids loved the swings etc and the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. The food was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Fantastic holiday. Thank you.
We had such a wonderful time at Château Périgord and Jean-Marie made our time there even more enjoyable. I do hope we can return one day as a family and hopefully with slightly warmer weather! Many thanks again for such a wonderful stay at your beautiful home.

We're sure you saw we were well and truly exhausted after a summer running events - the Loft was THE PERFECT ANTIDOTE! Thanks so much for the restaurant recommendations - will look into doing that. We are having a fantastic time here. I think your house is possibly the best house we've stayed in in France over the years. Yes, it's just fabulous! We've had a really fantastic week here and I'm pretty sure we'll be wanting to come back next year. Your house has been so generous... I've read some books here, loved looking through the coffee table books too. Your welcome basket was the most generous we've ever received in any of the houses we have rented. Allowing us to use pool towels as well. And I know it sounds a bit like a hotel review but the bed linen / towels and bathrooms were just top quality! Taking a break from it now to start packing up! P.S. We went to Le Moulin for lunch and it was superb. We will be in touch to hopefully book same week again next year.
Stunning retreat Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our time in your gorgeous home. We all spent hours in the pool and visited the neighbouring vineyard for some delicious rose, Corinne's daughter Chloe served up some fantastic food and Isabelle looked after the kids while we escaped two nights. It really is a stunning retreat.
The house is beautiful - plenty of space for a large group to have both together time and also their own space. Outdoor areas are fantastic and beds super comfy! . Overall highly recommended.

The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.
It is beautiful and absolutely perfect for our needs. We also loved the village and the restaurant. We have stayed in some lovely houses in France but yours is definitely the best. We will be in touch when we next head to France!
What a wonderful stay we have had at this glorious villa. We could not stay out of the pool as we were so lucky with the weather. The pool inflatables were fantastic, children and adults enjoyed lazing around in the pool for hours on end! We had some great nights in Sarlat at 'Le Pub' watching the street performers. The villa is very well equipped and laid out allowing for us to have our own space as well as a social space. We hope to return next year.
We have spent a great holiday at the property and we are sure we will be back for future holidays.
We highly recommend this place! We stayed with a family of 8 people and had a wonderful stay. The swimming pool is great, there is a ping pong table and a big and beautiful garden. There are a lot of different terraces to sit/hangout/have lunch and dinner. The kitchen is well equipped, there's a large stove and a BBQ for outside cooking. It's quiet and there's a lot of privacy. Sam and her husband are very friendly, communicative and helpful. We rented the electric bikes for two days and enjoyed the beautiful and rustique surroundings. There's a tennis court nearby that is very easy to arrange access to. Actually, we can't think of anything against the place, its really great!
Prior to arriving, dealing with Pete was easy and this continued with both him and Kate throughout our stay. We’d been in Avignon for week before where it was very hot, this continued in Curzon but the house was lovely and cool throughout. We all had no trouble sleeping which meant we weren’t able to take advantage of the pool for the first morning as we all slept in. When we did get out there, it was wonderful. As a family of 4 we were able to relax and have fun round the pool all day every day if we wanted, including cooking lunch and dinner on the gas BBQ in the outside kitchen which we made full use of. Facilities in the house were great and we relaxed quickly, taking advantage of the welcome package of goodies. We explored the surrounding villages and towns which were in easy reach and a 10 minute drive for bread each morning or a full shop meant we could simply pop out and get something for dinner/breakfast. They really looked after us and each morning we woke to a clean pool and surroundings, including towels waiting for us. We felt truly spoilt during our stay and could have easily booked 3 weeks or more and I imagine Pete and Kate will be managing full summers for a while to come. Thank you Pete and Kate for a memorable stay!

Very nice, clean and well equipped house. We had a great week (4 adults and 5 children). Magnificent swimming pool, a large and very pleasant games room. We recommend this house without hesitation.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Such an honor to spend time in such a special part of the world, a little piece of heaven surrounded by vineyards, sunflowers and lavender. Perfect surroundings to relax and spend our holiday week. We have enjoyed the spacious house, garden and the pool as well as the wonderful warm weather! The pituresque villages nearby have truly been a spectacular experience. We have spent a very nice week at the villa. We would have loved to stay longer but our holidays are now over and we are going back to the North.
What a fantastic house and grounds. We had great plans for visiting places and doing things with the grandchildren, but they indulged in endless games around the grounds, including the croquet and of course the pool. Croquet from 7.30 to 15.00 meant a wonderful time, so many, many thanks for letting us stay in your home.
A beautiful fun filled 7 days in this amazing house. Thank you. Equipped for all 8 of us. Kids swam everyday, favourite game of the week. Dads throwing balls high/low/long and making the biggest splash. Parents enjoying evening games of scrabble over a few too many. Lots of towns and markets visited. We plan to back back to make even more memories. Thank you.
Fantastic stay in a wonderful house. Wonderful house for 7 people. The rooms were very spacious, as was the outside space. Excellent for families I would say. Very warm welcome by the host and pool was attended to throughout. Nice touch of having towels and bed linen changed during the stay for no extra charge (a first). Many thanks to Victoire and Gaby.
Just returned from an outstanding holiday at the Orchard Farmhouse! The pool and grounds were just fantastic - it did help with three days at 30+ degrees!
