Sylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.
We are back from a great week in Maison Soulette in Thézan-les-Béziers. The house was just as pictured and described, perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, good kitchen and cosy sitting room. The terraces, the garden and the view were all beautiful. The weather was sunny and warm, so we spent many lazy days outside by the swimming pool. Our daughters made full use of the heated pool and had a lot of fun playing table tennis.
Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel instantly at home. The property itself is breathtaking - a perfect balance of elegance and nature. The beautifully maintained gardens, softly illuminated in the evenings, create a romantic and serene atmosphere, while the untouched woodland adds a sense of tranquility and adventure. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the luxurious accommodations to the stunning swimming pool overlooking the picturesque landscape. Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special. La Petite Maison Générille is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience, one that lingers long after you leave. We can't wait to return!
Thank you, we have had a fun two weeks at Le Pigat. We have cycled, run and explored the rural countryside. We have spent warm nights playing cards and dominoes with our children. We have loved the pool and the quiet and eating outdoors. It is fair to say that we have had a memorable two weeks here and we are sad to leave to go back to work and school. Great house, perfect location, private and peaceful. Lasting memories... On revient...
We had a pleasure of spending three days at La Petite Maison Générille and the biggest dissatisfaction with our stay is that it was just too short! La Petite Maison Générille is one of those rare places where you could see yourself easily spending an entire summer. We are definitely coming back! Where do I start... first of all, the place is immaculately clean and well-stocked: there was literally nothing that we needed and it wasn't available (and trust me we are very picky when it comes to holiday rentals). The kitchen has everything a family of four could possibly need; there are lots of wonderful new fluffy towels; the mattresses are comfortable and pillows are perfect; shower pressure was better than at our home. There's a big clean heated pool and a terrace with the most picturesque view that you just want to frame in your memory forever... And of course - the wonderful hosts! they know the area and set us up for a brilliant three-day programme that only whetted our appetites for coming back to Dordogne again and again. Thank you VERY much for a fabulous holiday! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Les Fumerates is fantastic. Near to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, it is particularly well located (30 minutes to Nice or Grasse by car, 20 minutes walk to Saint-Paul, etc.) and offers such an amazing landscape! Just imagine being in the pool with a view over the sea... For those who are willing to come when the weather is a little cold please note that when we were there the pool was 27 degrees (in April) Highly recommending the place, definitely.
Wow, what a stunning house – so, so loved being here and just wished the days had stretched a little longer to have seen more of this beautiful part of the Dordogne. Massive thanks to Jayne and Ian for looking after us so well! Thank you from the Blackett-Shield Family.
Very nice house, perfect for a large group of people like ours (10+, several families). Everything is there for the children! Very welcoming hosts who responded immediately when there was a request. On the edge of a beautiful little village, the majority of things to do are about 30-45 minutes from the house. We had a very nice stay.
Highly recommended for those who want to experience the beauty of Provence.
Fantastic house to stay in – comfortable, clean and everything needed provided. Beautiful garden, pool and terrace. The views are stunning especially with a morning coffee or glass of wine (at dinner!)
We have had an amazing two weeks here in this lovely home. We have enjoyed exploring the local area. We loved kayaking and using a pedalo on the River Lot. We have made really good use of the pool and the secret garden. Thank you so much Alan and Madeline for all your kindness and consideration - and especially taking us on that lovely walk. We've had a lovely week here at the villa. It's been especially good for our youngest family member who has really enjoyed playing here. We loved the heated pool, especially when the clouds come over the fun can continue. Absolutely recommend a trip to see Carcassonne for those wanting a day trip, but remember to check what is open. We had had this property booked since 2020 to celebrate my 70th birthday together with my son and his family. This was part of a four week French vacation. The property was just as we had hoped. A typical French Château, very roomy filled with antiques. The owners were very helpful and accommodating to our every need. It was well equipped and the grounds were delightful. The pool was very much appreciated as the weather was unseasonably hot. We all enjoyed our holiday and would love to return again. Thank you.
We had a wonderful stay at La Maison Tolzac. The terrace with swimming pool is superb for enjoying the view over nature and getting enthusiastic about the sunset while drinking a glass of wine offered by our charming hosts. The gîte is also very beautiful and each room has a beautiful bathroom, which is particularly appreciable. However, I would especially like to thank Kim and her husband for their warm welcome and dedication. Top service :-)

This is our last night staying at Les Jumelles and we are all sad to be leaving your wonderful house and garden. We only have good memories of our stay and you have made us feel extremely relaxed during the last two weeks. The weather has been perfect for lots of fun spent in the swimming pool and whilst also enjoying your fantastic garden.
Thank you so much for restoring this beautiful château, having impeccable taste and letting us share your wonderful home. It far exceeded our expectations! We came here for my 60th birthday and danced (in the hall!) till the small hours, played games in the pool, badminton at night, ate, drank and enjoyed the amazing homely atmosphere of this elegant place. It could not have been better!
Spending time in this lovely serene hamlet is heaven, overlooking the most calming landscaped from the house and terraces. The fully equipped kitchen is outfitted for foodies and in a setting with fantastic food markets just 15 minutes in proximity. The gardens surrounding the house are beautiful and have a fabulous pool. The is French countryside brilliance at its best.
We would certainly recommend Maison Louis Richard. A unique and very enjoyable place to stay, with excellent hosts!
Thank you for a wonderful stay in oyur villa, Philippe. The perfect place for 70th birthday celebrations/family reunion. The pool is so well set up for relaxing, socialising and being able to keep an eye on the kids. After a week in the pool, our daughter was able to swim independently by the end! Thank you for your warm and friendly hosting: the welcome cheese, breakfast pastries, brilliant meal at La Tour de Montady, fabulous wine tasting at Saint-Chinian - it has all beenso memorable and made the trip that much better. Other highlights have been many bike rides through the vines, a trip to Chichoulet Beach, discovering the butcher and pâtissière in Cazouls-les-Béziers and enjoying the local produce by the pool every evening.
If you like the charm of the old, you will be won over. We particularly appreciated the layout of the house and the exterior. The fact that the swimming pool is in the low garden creates both security but also that the house remains very calm when there is commotion at the swimming pool! We played the most memorable games of ping pong in the shade of the majestic cypress trees and the children spent hours illuminating the castle, the immediate proximity of which is magical.
Villa Bellara is a lovely property and a great place to stay. We would certainly recommend it! We were greeted by the very pleasant owner, Jean Luc, who was a wonderful host and provided lots of information on the villa itself and surrounding areas. Villa Bellara is a private gated property situated in a quiet residential area. The location is uphill, from the beachfront; and there are several good supermarkets with fresh produce nearby. The local train station is a short walk away which is great for exploring the nearby sights of Nice, Antibes and Monaco. The villa is very comfortable and spacious, with plenty of different spaces inside and outside for the family to relax either together or in smaller groups. It is well maintained, clean and well furnished. It has a great modern kitchen which is well equipped. Ice on tap and air conditioning in all the bedrooms too. The Wi-Fi for the teens was perfect and the UK TV was a nice surprise.
Idyllic place. Very peaceful break had by all. Garlin is a lovely village. Great bakery for fresh bread and the essential Ecomarket. All in all, great location - awesome house that's been fitted out to a very high standard throughout and a wonderful, unspoilt part of France that we'd never been to before.
Beautiful renovation with the charm of old stones and the modernity of interior materials. Premium interior equipment. Absolute calm, without proximity to the road. Very comfortable for this property. Christophe available, nice and helpful. It was perfect.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!
We have had a fabulous time at Villa Baleyssagues. The house itself is beautiful, just as advertised but in reality far much better and exceeded our expectations. We have spend mots days by the pool and in the pool, having experienced great weather, taking full advantage of the equipment and facilities available to us at the Villa. The surroundings and grounds are stunning providing us a relaxing and peaceful . We are very sad to be leaving after a very memorable and enjoyable holiday. We will definitely looking to book an other holiday here as soon as we can.
