Maison Theron is spotlessly clean and immaculately presented, we couldn’t have been happier and would have been delighted to spend much longer there. Great beds - very comfortable a lovely living space and a private and cleverly done garden with a pool. This quiet and calming home is a wonderful find.
An excellent week with the family with the little ones (2, 5, 9 years old) and adults who have enjoyed the swimming pool, the games, table tennis, volleyball... the barbecue and the many possibilities offered by the house for lunch, dinner and rest. The surrounding villages offer evening walks where you can meet producers and taste local specialties (foie gras, duck breasts, wines...). Many châteaux to visit and canoeing on the Dordogne. A good stay in a beautiful region.
We had a lovely week enjoying the beautiful house and pool and breakfast and barbecues outside. We had highly variable weather but that enabled us to discover Périgueux and Saint-Émilion. We highly recommend Aubeterre and the bar Brasserie in Verteillac Le Calice. Many thanks.
Lovely private pool and terrace with comfortable accommodation in a picturesque village. Hosts were discrete but friendly and very helpful. The restaurant a short stroll away is definitely worth a visit. Nice walks on the doorstep.
All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.
We had a very good week of vacation with 2 families. The villa is superb, well equipped and maintained. The heated swimming pool is really a plus, the children really enjoyed it. The owners, who live nearby, are friendly and available. We will return with great pleasure if the opportunity arises. We are strongly recommend this rental.

We’ve enjoyed two wonderful weeks in and around Villa Lavinière Thanks to the air conditioning we survived the heatwave comfortably. What a great, well-equipped house, garden and pool! Communication with you was very good, supportive and kind. The views from the first floor were beautiful. We had one of the best holiday houses we’ve ever stayed in. We also enjoyed Grand Café Occitan, Les Mûriers (La Livinière), L’Atelier (Caunes), Béziers (brocante market) and Lagrasse.
A heartfelt thank you from us for your generous hospitality. It has been a joyful end to the year and a great start to 2022. We do hope to see you later in the year and wish you a truly happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. With our thanks and best wishes.
We spent a wonderful holiday in Bessan and in your splendid house. We have been to the local market in Bessan. Pézenas is superb, we tasted wine at the Domaine Pal Mas and pancakes at La Riposte in Agde - both worth a visit. The children would have enjoyed the pool until midnight if only we had allowed them. We are very sad to leave and would be happy to come back.
Lovely property, lots of space and well equipped. Play room added bonus. Caroline responded very promptly and efficiently when we discovered a wasp nest!
This has been a most restful and restoring holiday after the misery of Covid etc. We have to thank Alan and Madeline for great kindness and for literally going the extra mile when we couldn't find our way home. We've enjoyed local restaurants: try Aubord de la Source, St Livrade for a special treat, Les Rives du Plantie. We went north to Cancon market (Monday mornings). There's a village called St. Pastour on the way where a young couple have a very good restaurant (week day lunch and some evenings) called Le Relais Bastide. Thank you again Madeline and Alan. Almost forgot to say don't miss the lilies and lunch at Latour-Marliac. Monet bought his waterlilies here, having seen them at the great Paris Exhibition.

We have had a wonderful stay here, the weather has been lovely and the pool was perfect. We stayed outside the whole time!
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!
We arrived at a large house that matched well and even more to what the photos showed. This is the first time we have found a vacation rental with so many dishes and kitchen supplies. As we were a large family with a few small children, this environment greatly favored the well-being of our stay. We sincerely thank our host for this generous sharing.

Your attention to detail from the information provided before our stay to the provisions you provided in the Loft to your availability during our stay have been second to none. Also, the thoughtful and pragmatic precautions you have taken in light of Covid-19 served to put our minds at ease and helped us to thoroughly enjoy our time in this wonderful part of France. Fabulous villa with view. Staying at the property made our vacation unforgettable. We were a group of 8 and the house was plenty big enough for all of us adults. The terrace with the pool was unbelievable. We spent many evenings dining and laughing and enjoying the beautiful view which showed the city of Grasse in the distance sparkling. The house was spotless and decorated beautifully. Every amenity was available. The owners were so helpful with any question. We can't wait to return to the Côte d'Azur and this house.
We had a wonderful holiday at Maison Emz. Jacky and Anne are the perfect hosts, being friendly, helpful and keen to allow us to have a good vacation. Maison Emz is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and is beautifully decorated and equipped. The outside spaces and pool area provide a lovely environment to relax. The house location, in a quiet rural area but with the good local town of Goudargues and other interesting towns and villages within easy reach, is a great place to enjoy two weeks in the sun.
We are having a great time and the house is just perfect. The kids are loving the games room and the pool - our 11 year old is pretty much wrinkly all the time!

What a wonderful week! The villa is full of elegant and eclectic touches and the outside areas are divine. The pool is just perfect and the shade was needed this week when it was very hot (but not as hot as back home - thank goodness!) Beziers is lovely and there are plenty of places to visit near by. Philippe - you were a wonderful host providing recommendations when asked and keeping the pool sparkling clean. The treats you delivered were fabulous as was the trip you organised to Saint Chinian. THE LOFT! - Undoubtedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed at in France. A great concept realised in every detail. Wonderful hospitality on our arrival and throughout our stay. Great Country Home in Domme. Eight of our family recently spent a few days in the Dordogne region greatly enjoying our home away from home, well located in Domme. Le Borghesia was a beautiful, very impressive and very old home renovated and appointed for today’s lifestyle. It is well located in a lovely country setting. Checking in and out was seamless. I would definitely recommend Le Borghesia to other travellers.
